Skills Tutorial (Install + Use)

This page is the simple ordinary-user path:

install a skill in the UI, then use it in chat.

1) Install a skill from Marketplace

1. Open NextClaw
2. Go to Marketplace -> Skills
3. Search for the skill you want
4. Click Install

For ordinary users, this is the main thing to remember:

• skills are installed from Marketplace -> Skills
• after install, go back to chat and use them there
• you do not need to learn command-line setup first

2) Enable the skill in chat

1. Open the chat page
2. Click Skills under the input box
3. Select the skill you just installed
4. Send your request

Examples:

• if it is a writing skill, send the writing task directly
• if it is a Hermes-related skill, ask it to help connect or check Hermes

3) Verify it is applied

• the reply should clearly reflect that skill's capability or constraints
• unselect the same skill and ask a similar question again; the result should be observably different

4) Ordinary-user recommendation

• install one skill first instead of many
• run it once in chat before adding more
• if a skill looks too technical, skip it and choose one whose summary matches your task more directly
