NextClaw v0.48.3

Released: 2026-09-04

Tags: startup, sessions, projects, PWA

NextClaw v0.48.3 reduces startup delays when you have a large session history, corrects silent-reply and PWA link behavior, and simplifies project storage and controls. Existing project and work-item data migrates automatically after the update.

Improvements

  • Startup no longer scans the entire session history. The improvement is most noticeable with larger histories, while sessions interrupted during the previous run still recover normally.
  • Project registrations and work items now share one local database. Existing projects.json data migrates automatically and transactionally.
  • The remove-project action now lives in each project's More menu, reducing accidental removal and keeping the project list cleaner.
  • Project context now has clearer sources: Project Work shows explicitly linked artifacts, Skills come from .agents/skills, and durable agreements come from the root AGENTS.md. Artifact lists also improve deduplication, pagination, and search.

Fixes

  • <noreply/> is silent only when it is the entire reply. Normal responses that mention the marker alongside explanatory text remain visible.
  • The PWA no longer captures Panel App's “Open in new tab” action, so the link opens in a browser tab as requested.

Compatibility changes

  • The old Project Markers and project-observation entry points have been removed, including .nextclaw/project.yaml, the project observation API, and nextclaw projects observe. Project context now uses the explicit sources listed above.

What you need to do

Update normally. On first use, NextClaw migrates existing project data automatically; you do not need to add projects again or convert files manually.
